I can't compare the two, but our experience with Apologia Physical Science has been good. We had to buy only a few things for the experiments, and they were easy for my daughter to do. Last year was the first year we used Apologia, and also the first year my daughter liked science. We'll be continuing to use Apologia as their explanations are excellent and my dd has gained a good foundation. I'm hoping that the colleges won't be concerned whether the grade has come from Seton or not, the credit still applies, and the course is still listed on the transcript. Many colleges like to see SAT II or AP test scores to validate courses taken and grades earned.
